...
I shudder to think of the horrors seen by a friend,
A wee 15 when riots broke out and ravaged his land.
We only talk of the dregs of the cess pool;
He has witnessed most, yet loves us, keeps his head cool.
His fans rant and rave at how great an author he is.
He stands for humanity not sliding back - this point we miss.
I remember the tale of a forensic man and am decimated
To think we'd commit suicide but for the love of a single soul - requited.
Enough of suicide - this friend is here today talking of another horror perpetuated;
Prostitution and those who profit from Sexual Trafficking. Will our lust ever be sated?
What good a coalition when it does little to stamp out the demand?
Man's pecker never on a leash, always out doing the devil proud!
What good amidst these O me, O life - shouldn't we all wonder?
How can we dream of establishing a Kingdom of Heaven, the promise of splendour?
When the daily horrors would have us believe strongly to obliterate the sub human?
Lift the cess out of the pool; Vengeance cannot be Mine - only compassion,
As we beg for Evolution to win the day - surrender our lower instincts to our Effulgent Mother.
How do we tame each other without understanding the root cause; show love to our brother?
Before he tips over and is found enmeshed in an industry he knows nothing about.
Just wants a good time; destroying lives - say nay to such living with a loud shout!
